FlossGrid is a private, offline cross-stitch pattern maker that turns your photos into clear, editable charts with thread colors, symbols, material estimates, and practical exports. TURN A PHOTO INTO A PATTERN Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image with the Android system photo picker, take a new photo, or start with one of the included sample images. Crop, rotate, and choose an aspect ratio before building your chart. CONTROL THE CONVERSION Set the chart width and height, then choose an Easy, Balanced, or Realistic conversion style. Fine-tune defaults for the maximum number of colors, palette simplification, confetti cleanup, detail protection, and gradient treatment. Choose 11, 14, 16, or 18 count fabric, a fabric color, and one to four strands per stitch. MATCH REAL FLOSS CODES FlossGrid maps the image to a built-in DMC floss color reference and assigns a clear symbol to every active color. Screen colors are a helpful guide; actual thread appearance can vary with lighting, display, and dye lot. REVIEW EVERY DETAIL Compare the cropped photo with the generated pattern. Zoom into the chart and switch between Color, Symbols, and Combined views. See the grid size, active color count, and total stitch count at a glance. EDIT STITCH BY STITCH Use Pencil, Erase, Pick, Fill, Replace, and Move tools to refine the chart. Add or choose thread colors, replace a color across the pattern, and use undo and redo while you work. Changes are saved to your on-device project library. PLAN YOUR MATERIALS Open Colors & Materials to see floss codes and names, symbols, stitch counts, percentages, finished size, and estimated skeins. Change thread colors or symbol assignments, and copy a shopping list when you are ready to buy supplies. EXPORT A USEFUL CHART Save a high-resolution Color PNG to Photos. Create and share a vector PDF with a color legend plus Color, Symbols, and Combined chart pages. Large charts are divided into clear page blocks and stay sharp when zoomed or printed. KEEP PROJECTS ORGANIZED Your local project library makes it easy to reopen, rename, duplicate, or delete patterns. Light and dark themes help FlossGrid fit the way you work. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account is required. Pattern generation, image processing, editing, and export creation happen on your device. FlossGrid has no ads, behavioral analytics, or cloud processing, and it does not upload your photos or projects. Content leaves the app only when you save a PNG to Photos, copy a shopping list, or share a PDF through Android.
