Thymos

Your child's behaviour is trying to tell you something. The meltdown before school. The shutdown after homework. The explosion over something that seemed so small. These moments are exhausting and confusing — and most parenting advice doesn't help, because it skips straight to strategies without ever asking: what is this behaviour actually communicating? Thymos is different. Built on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) principles and developed by an educator with 17 years of experience working with children and families, Thymos helps parents, caregivers, and educators understand the meaning behind children's behaviour — and respond with confidence. This isn't a tips app. It's a thinking partner. WHAT THYMOS DOES THYMOS CHAT: Describe what happened. Thymos helps you understand why — exploring the triggers, emotions, and unmet needs behind your child's behaviour before suggesting how to respond. CBT-INFORMED INSIGHTS: Every response draws on CBT principles to help you see your child's behaviour through a new lens. Not generic advice. Real interpretation, tailored to your child's age and situation. JOURNAL: Log incidents as they happen. Over time, Thymos helps you spot patterns — times of day, triggers, and situations that tend to precede difficult behaviour. LEARNING HUB: Learn practical CBT tools and strategies in bite sized lessons-building skills you can use for life, not just for one difficult moment. WHO THYMOS IS FOR? · Thymos isn’t only for difficult moments. Use it to build everyday skills that support your child’s confidence, emotional regulation and resilience as they grow. THE THYMOS BELIEF Behaviour is communication. Every difficult behaviour, every meltdown, every refusal — is a child trying to express something they don't yet have the words for. When you understand what your child is communicating, everything changes. IMPORTANT NOTE Thymos is a CBT-informed support and education app. It is not a clinical tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or therapy.
