Vesquill

Vesquill is a local studio logbook for calligraphy, lettering and collections of writing materials. It brings instruments, inks, paper, studied scripts and practice sessions into one clear workspace. Core features: • Instrument catalogue. Create records for fountain, dip, glass and brush tools; add a name, nib or tip, edge width, flex level and notes. Compatible records also include a maintenance indicator with a Flush now action. • Inks and paper. Record an ink name, HEX colour, base family, drying time, water resistance and notes. Paper materials are kept in a separate Sheets tab. • Script reference. Add studied styles, origin, exemplar family and selected characteristics. A stroke-order demonstration shows the sequence at an adjustable pace. This is a viewing tool, not a drawing canvas: practice takes place on paper. • Practice log. Each Sitting can include a date, duration, focus level, instrument, ink, paper, script and note. Entries form a chronological history and show which materials were used together. • Profile and desk overview. Save a name, motto and writing side; a summary card shows the number of instruments, materials and sessions. A demo desk is available for reviewing populated sections. Privacy and control: the version shown presents itself as a local studio ledger. Its onboarding states that records stay on the device, and Profile provides a control for deleting all saved data and returning to first launch. You decide which details to add to the catalogues and linked records. A separate demo desk can be loaded to explore a populated workspace. Vesquill is intended for personal organisation of materials and practice history. It does not assess handwriting quality or promise a learning outcome. It is a structured reference and record-keeping utility for paper-based practice.
