HOW FAST CAN YOU READ? CR

Let's do something about the reading epidemic and something GOOD with AI: Charly Reeds is an interactive speed-reading application and digital dictionary designed to support young readers, students, and active learners. The app transforms foundational reading exercises into an engaging experience that helps build vocabulary, expand sight words, and improve literacy skills. Follow along with Charly, a dynamic companion that reads with you and visually reacts as milestones are achieved, providing positive reinforcement during practice sessions. How Charly Reeds Works: 1. Vocabulary Development: Before beginning a chapter, readers learn and practice core keywords. The app features fully integrated word flashcards complete with clear definitions, contextual examples, and audio pronunciations to reinforce correct language usage. 2. Guided Speed Reading: The app utilizes a specialized auto-scrolling engine based on rapid serial visual presentation principles. This pacing helps train the eye to scan phrases efficiently, reducing inner-vocalization to naturally increase overall reading speed. Users can customize the Words-Per-Minute (WPM) settings to fit their current level. 3. Comprehension Checks: Active recall exercises follow each reading segment. Answering comprehension questions correctly allows users to measure their retention, unlock new reading materials, and earn motivating milestones. Key Educational Features: - Customizable Speed Control: Adjust the reading pace smoothly from foundational levels to advanced speeds, making it suitable for both early readers and fast learners. - Audio Word Pronunciation: Tap specialized terms to hear them spoken clearly, assisting with spelling, phonics, and proper phonetic articulation. - Accessibility Focus: Features robust display adjustments including adjustable font sizing, line spacing, and specialized high-legibility typefaces like OpenDyslexic. - Progress Tracker: Monitor individual reading metrics over time, including total stories completed, target accuracy scores, and consistent practice streaks. - Family-Friendly Layout: Features an integrated parental configuration lock to help guard individual settings, ensuring a distraction-free learning environment. The Practice of Focused Reading: By displaying text in structured visual sequences, Charly Reeds targets common reading habits such as regression and word-by-word subvocalization. This methodology naturally encourages readers to process meaningful word blocks simultaneously, which can assist in building stronger text interpretation skills, higher retention rates, and general reading confidence.
