SAC IHH Survey

The Individual Household Survey under the Kitchen Garden and Compost Pit initiative is a focused effort by Swachh Andhra Corporation to drive sustainable practices at the grassroots level. Kitchen Garden Survey: The survey assesses the adoption of small-scale home gardening initiatives by households. It aims to promote self-reliance in food production, improve nutritional intake, and support the concept of urban and rural greenery. Data collected includes garden size, types of vegetables/fruits grown, and the household’s level of engagement. Compost Pit Survey: This section evaluates households' participation in organic waste segregation and composting practices. It collects details on the presence of compost pits, their usage, and the quantity of organic waste recycled. The initiative supports reducing landfill waste and encourages creating nutrient-rich compost for gardening. Through this survey, the government aims to: Monitor progress in adopting eco-friendly practices. Provide tailored assistance and training to households for effective implementation. Foster a sustainable and cleaner environment by reducing waste and enhancing self-sustained food systems. The collected data will help identify areas requiring more support and resources, contributing to the larger goal of a greener and cleaner Andhra Pradesh.
