Youmus - Music promotion

To be heard, you must listen. Youmus is a reciprocal feedback engine for music makers. Give one verified, attentive listen plus a reaction to someone else's track, and you earn one guaranteed attentive listen on your own demo. No gatekeepers. No pay-per-rejection. No fans required to pre-exist — 50 makers means 50 listeners by definition. Built for bedroom producers, rappers, beatmakers, indie bands and singer-songwriters who are tired of posting a demo into the void and getting three plays and silence. WHY YOUMUS IS DIFFERENT - Reciprocity, not pay-per-pitch. You earn listens by giving them — never a 90% rejection rate and copy-paste replies. - Verified listens, not vanity plays. Server-side playback heartbeats mean a listen is real before it counts — about 30 seconds or half the track, or the swipe doesn't count. - A swipe deck of tracks, not people. A bounded daily deck (about 20 tracks) you can actually finish — a ritual, not an endless feed. - Weekly per-genre charts reset every Monday, so newcomers always get a fresh shot at the top. HOW THE LOOP WORKS 1. Swipe through your daily deck of demos. 2. Actually listen — the listen-gate verifies it before your swipe counts. 3. Leave one-tap feedback: reaction tags like "hook stuck," "mix is muddy," "drop hits," or "would playlist this," plus an optional emoji dropped on the waveform and a short note. 4. Every verified listen-with-reaction you give earns one "ear" — and an ear pushes your own track into someone else's deck. Ears are earned only. They are never for sale. That is the honesty guarantee the whole product is built on. FEEDBACK THAT BUILDS YOU - Reaction tags and timestamped waveform moments tell you exactly what landed. - Recipients rate how helpful your feedback was. Helpful critics get heard more. - It is critique that builds you, not breaks you. ANALYTICS THAT BRING YOU BACK - Real numbers on every track: listens, hook rate, save rate. - A skip-point curve that says it straight — "40% bail at 0:45, your intro is too long." - A reaction heatmap across the waveform. - Pro analytics (unlocked with youms) add history, audience breakdown and trends. REPUTATION AND CHARTS - Earn a public ear score and tiers like "Tastemaker" from listen volume, feedback helpfulness, and early detection — liking a track before it charts. - Weekly per-genre charts with "Rising" and "Discovered by" surfaces. Fresh shot every Monday. COLLAB WITH PEOPLE WHO HEARD YOUR WORK - A mutual maker-to-maker like opens a chat — grounded in actually having heard each other's tracks, not your follower count. - Say what you do — write, sing, produce, mix, rap, play keys, drums, master — and what you're seeking. - Chat with text, reactions, replies, voice memos and shared track moments. UPLOAD IN ABOUT 60 SECONDS - Voice memos and phone recordings welcome. Metadata optional — "untitled demo" is fine. - Genre auto-tagged from the audio with one-tap confirm. - Demo culture is the point: rough, unfinished work belongs here. Three free track slots. NOTIFICATIONS THAT CARRY REAL NEWS - "Your demo got 14 listens and 3 'hook stuck' reactions today." - "You entered the Hip-hop weekly Top 50." - "A producer wants to collab." - Plus daily deck streaks and a weekly "your week in listens" digest. SAFE FROM DAY ONE Block, report, rate limits, automated moderation and a DMCA process for audio — in from the start. YOUMS (OPTIONAL) Youms are a convenience currency you can buy to move faster: a 24-hour Boost for deck priority (it buys speed reaching listeners — never guaranteed reactions or ratings), a Super-like, a Spotlight, extra track slots beyond the free three, and a Pro analytics unlock. No subscriptions. No payouts. Youms never buy ears. Get your music heard. Give a real listen, get one back.
