Full description
Scroll break reminders with auto-detection and almost no setup. You choose the apps where you doomscroll too much. Ergo detects when you're using those apps, and shows a scrolling break reminder after 20 minutes of use. You don't have to remember to press Start every time you scroll. You don't have to mess around with schedules. You'll only get scrolling break reminders when you're actually scrolling. Everything stays on your phone. No recording your screen. No tracking what you do inside your apps. How it works: You give Ergo permission to see which app is in use and to show screen time break reminders. You choose the apps where you doomscroll too much (TikTok, Instagram, the Weather app, we don't judge) You press Start Monitoring ... and that's it. Ergo keeps track of what app is in use. After 20 minutes of use, Ergo gives you a simple reminder to take a doomscroll break. Take the break, dismiss the reminder, and go back to what you were doing. Ergo doesn't lock you out or tell you how to use your phone. It works on the honor system. The reminder is automatic. Taking the break from doomscrolling is up to you. Key Features: - Auto-Detection: Automatically detects when you start using the apps you've chosen. - One-time Setup: No schedules to manage and no session timers to start every time you want a scrolling break. - Context-Aware: Reminders only show when you're actually using your chosen apps. - Privacy First & Offline-First: All app-use tracking data stays 100% local on your device. No internet connection is needed for break reminders. Premium Features: - Customize the time between screen time break reminders, the break length, reset interval, and break reminder message - Streak tracking — Build good habits by seeing how many screen time breaks you actually take in a row - See your rate of break taking, over the last day/week/month Permission Explanations: - Usage Access: Needed to see what app is in the foreground, and start the timer. Used exclusively to detect when your selected apps are open. Your app-use activity stays on your device. - Display Over Apps (Overlay): Needed to display break reminders over your scrolling feed. - Battery Exemption (Optional): Helps Android keep Ergo running reliably in the background. Privacy Policy: https://protectyourneck.us/privacy System & Device Compatibility: Supports Android 8 and above. Questions or feedback? Reach out to us directly at [email protected]

What's new
