Full description
Standing over hot beans waiting for first crack is no time to fill in a form. So CrackLog gives you one big button. Hear the first pops, tap once, and a point lands on your roast curve at that exact second. MADE FOR THE HOME ROASTER Popcorn popper, heat gun and bowl, FreshRoast, a small drum: if you have been scribbling crack times in a notebook, CrackLog turns that notebook into a curve. It is a lightweight hand log, not a lab setup. A ROAST, START TO FINISH - Tap Charge and the timer starts from 0:00. The screen stays awake. - Log temp whenever you glance at your roaster's readout. The curve draws itself in real time. - Tap at first crack. Tap again at second crack. Mis-tapped? Undo on the spot, or adjust the time after the roast. - Tap Drop and the timer stops. You get a batch card with total time and DTR already worked out. THE BATCH CARD Time-temperature curve with first and second crack marks, DTR, green coffee and origin, charge weight, drop weight and yield, the roaster you used, preheat and room temperature, your own roast level from light to Italian, and a one-line note. Cards collect in your Collection, where you can filter by green coffee or roast level. Roasting the same beans again? Lay the previous curve underneath as a ghost and follow it, or tap Roast again with the same setup to start with beans and charge weight pre-filled. FAN AND POWER, ONE TAP PER CHANGE On roasters with fan and power dials (1 to 9), like the FreshRoast SR540 and SR800, tap each time you turn a dial. Changes show up as a step line in a lane above the curve and as a table on the card, so next time you can hit "fan 7 at 3:20" right on cue. Mark yellowing and the end of first crack too, and the card breaks the roast into drying, Maillard and development phases. TRY IT IN 30 SECONDS New here? Start the demo roast. It replays a 10-minute roast in 30 seconds with the crack button live, so you feel the tap land before a single bean is roasted. Demo batches are labeled and kept out of your stats. ROASTER'S KIT (OPTIONAL, ONE-TIME PURCHASE) Replay guide: start a batch with the same green coffee and the previous batch's fan and power changes and crack times appear next to the timer. Multi-batch overlay: stack up to three earlier batches on one curve. No subscription. Everything that is free today stays free. WHAT CRACKLOG LEAVES OUT No Bluetooth, no temperature probe, no microphone listening for cracks. You read the temperature with your eyes and catch the crack with your ears. DTR and yield are shown as plain numbers. There is no score, no "ideal" target, and no streak nagging you to roast every day. Roasting once or twice a week is exactly what this is built for. No account, no login, no server. Your records are stored on your device and the app asks for no permissions. No ads, no subscription. The only purchase is the optional lifetime unlock, handled by Google Play. Export your entire roast history to a single file, import it back, or wipe everything from Settings.

What's new

Decimal weights work now. Typing a period in the weight field no longer wipes it, and a comma works too. The last update claimed this was fixed, but it wasn't. Thanks to the roaster who told us. After Roast again with the same settings, rename the green coffee and the original batch's curve still stays overlaid. Batch cards now show weight loss. Green coffee, roast level, loss, and time at a glance. Batch details draw drying, Maillard, and development as a color bar, numbers included.
