Full description
Someone always pays for dinner. Someone always books the flat. Working out who owes what afterwards should take ten seconds, not a spreadsheet. DiviSum keeps a shared ledger for any group of people who split costs - flatmates, a trip, a couple, or a single evening out. Add what you spent, pick who it was for, and the arithmetic is done. Everyone sees the same numbers. IT ANSWERS THE QUESTION BEFORE YOU ASK IT The home screen is not a list of groups to open. It shows who owes you, who you owe, and how much, across every group at once. Most of the time you never have to tap anything. ADDING AN EXPENSE IS ONE SCREEN Type "Rewe" and it picks Groceries. Type "Taxi" and it picks Transport. It understands English and German, and it learns from the categories you actually choose - so it gets better at your habits rather than someone else's. Split equally, by exact amounts, by percentage, or by shares. Paid for something you had no part in? The app doesn't insist you were involved. OR POINT THE CAMERA AT THE RECEIPT A scan reads the individual lines, not just the total. Everyone taps what they actually had, and the tax, the tip and anything nobody claims are split across the table. Four people stop doing mental arithmetic in front of the card machine. It reads German receipts properly, which is where most of that work went. FEWER PAYMENTS, NOT MORE Three people owing each other in a circle is one payment, not three. DiviSum reduces a group's debts to the smallest number of transfers that settles everybody, so nobody sends money in a loop. DELETING SOMETHING IS HANDLED PROPERLY You have thirty days to undo a deleted expense on your own. After that it takes agreement from the people that expense actually involved, and a majority has to say yes. Nobody gets to quietly rewrite a bill from three months ago that you already paid. NO ADS. NO PAYWALL. NO TRACKING. There is no premium tier and nothing is held back for one. No advertising SDK. No usage analytics - nothing records which screens you open or what you tap. Crash reports, so I can fix what breaks, and nothing beyond that. Your data is stored in the European Union, and you can delete your account from inside the app, permanently, without emailing anyone and waiting. ALSO IN THE BOX - A proper dark mode - Notifications when something changes in your groups, and one switch to silence all of them - An activity feed across every group at once - Settle up, or record a payment somebody made to you - Undo on anything you delete by accident - Groups in any of the thirty-odd currencies the European Central Bank publishes a daily rate for, with each expense holding the rate from the day it happened rather than drifting afterwards DiviSum is built by one person, in Germany. If something is wrong or missing, the email address in the app reaches me directly, and I read all of it.

What's new

Fixed a crash that stopped DiviSum from opening on some devices. On a small number of phones the app closed the moment it was tapped, before the sign-in screen appeared. The cause was in how the app loaded its own internal components, and this release changes that so it behaves the same way on every device. That is the only change. If DiviSum has been opening normally for you, nothing you see will be different.
