DivePlunge is the largest map of water spots in the world: over 650,000 places in 249 countries, from Mexican cenotes to Red Sea wrecks, from Sardinian coves to Pacific reefs. An open community for everyone who lives in the water — scuba divers, snorkelers, cliff jumpers, open water swimmers, kayakers and wild swimming enthusiasts. THE MAP Explore the world and tap a point to know what awaits you: water type, depth, seabed, difficulty, how to get there and where to park. Filter by activity, by water type, or by what is near you right now. The map covers sea, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, cenotes and fjords. TODAY'S CONDITIONS Know what you will find before you leave: wind, waves, water temperature, visibility, tides and current, with a single score telling you whether today is a good day for the activity you chose. SAFETY, TAKEN SERIOUSLY DivePlunge's 13 golden rules are written for people who actually get in the water, including the ones about rivers, where floods arrive from upstream without warning. The minimum depth calculator for a jump uses a physical model based on height, weight, body position and water density. An alerts layer flags fires, floods, storms and earthquakes near the spot, using official data from NASA EONET, USGS and GDACS. WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE For thousands of spots you will find the marine species observed in the area, with photos and the common name in your language. Data comes from GBIF and Wikimedia Commons, always with author and licence credited. WATER QUALITY For over 25,000 European beaches we show the official bathing water classification from the European Environment Agency, with the year of the survey and the source. THE COMMUNITY Add a spot you know, upload your photos, leave a comment, correct a wrong name. Organise a meetup and see who is coming. Save your favourites and download coordinates as GPX for your navigator. FOR PEOPLE WHO WORK ON THE WATER Diving centres, schools, rental shops and tour operators can claim their business, publish courses and events, and be found from nearby spots. THE DATA IS OPEN AND CREDITED DivePlunge is built on free, verifiable sources — OpenStreetMap, GeoNames, Wikidata, Wikipedia, GBIF, the European Environment Agency, Open-Meteo — always with the attribution their licences require.
