The Divining Vessel is a quiet water-gazing practice. Set an optional question, then gaze softly into a stable bowl of water or a dark on-screen focal point through four timed stages: preparation, soft gazing, observation and return. Its historical context comes from the Demotic magical papyri. The app explains clearly what it adapts, and it never generates spirit messages or predictions. HOW A SESSION WORKS • Write an optional question, or begin in silence • Use a physical bowl of water or the app's dark digital focal point • Choose 1 to 60 minutes; each stage shows its own countdown • Four-stage original audio, with volume control and mute • Pause, resume or end whenever you need to, and mark a moment when you notice something WHAT YOU NOTICED Sessions are recorded automatically. Write and edit your observations in a private journal on your device, and export the journal as a JSON file if you want to keep a copy elsewhere. Audio stops when you leave the practice screen or the app. Timers keep going during normal background use, and if the app is interrupted, your latest checkpoint returns paused.
