Full description
FreqCraft is a precision binaural beats and isochronic tones generator for brainwave entrainment — built to run clean and uninterrupted. NEW IN 1.1.0 — FIVE VOICES Layer up to five voices in a single session. Each one carries its own carrier frequency, beat frequency and waveform, and its own level envelope across a timed session — so a stack can open on one layer and close on another. A live scope draws every voice separately on the rate strip and the summed acoustic result on the tone strip, so the picture always matches what the engine is producing. Plays alongside your other audio. FreqCraft does not seize audio focus, so it layers under music, podcasts, and video without pausing them. During a phone call — incoming or outgoing — the session pauses on its own and resumes automatically when the call ends. Nothing to stop or restart. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. What you buy is the whole app, and it stays yours. It has no internet permission. That means it physically cannot phone home, send your activity anywhere, or track you — not a privacy promise, a property of the build. Everything runs offline, on your device. A modern successor to Brainwave Generator (BWGen), the long-abandoned Windows desktop tool — now built natively for Android, and as of 1.1.0 with the multi-layer sessions that were BWGen's signature. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - Every Hz is visible and editable. Set any carrier and beat frequency, down to the decimal. No hidden processing, no black box. - Up to five simultaneous voices, each with its own carrier, beat, waveform and level envelope. - Four real waveforms — sine, square, triangle, sawtooth. A true frequency and tone generator, not a preset player. - Binaural and isochronic modes. Isochronic needs no headphones. - Beat sweep — a slow triangle around the set beat, with the swept range shown on screen before you start. - A live scope that reads the engine, not the input box: every voice on the rate strip, the summed output on the tone strip. - Transducer-ready. Clean low-frequency output drives tactile transducers and bass shakers — physical vibration you feel, not just sound. - Fade in/out, session timer, and a readout that always matches what the engine plays. - Sourced presets — every factory preset cites its reference, in the app. Ten of them now, three multi-voice. FOR THE TRUE BINAURAL EFFECT Binaural mode needs wired stereo headphones and true stereo output. If a track sounds like a pulsing "wah-wah," or you hear the beat through a single earbud, your phone is collapsing to Mono — turn off Mono audio in Accessibility, and switch off any equalizer, surround or spatial sound, or "audio enhancement." The name varies by manufacturer. A binaural track should sound like one smooth, steady tone. The same checklist is in the app's info window and at freqcraft.app/support. It guides you with advisories; it never locks you out. You stay in control of the signal. Private by design: no tracking, no telemetry, no internet permission. Just precise frequencies, on your device. THE BANDS, AND WHERE THE NUMBERS CAME FROM Set any beat frequency — delta, theta, alpha, beta or gamma — by typing the number, not by picking a mood. Every factory preset cites its source in the app: seven single-voice presets come from a frequency listing by Michael Triggs. Theta Schumann is 7.83 Hz, the fundamental Schumann resonance. Awakened Mind is named for Cade and Coxhead's 1979 book, and the app states which of its values were measured by spectrum analysis and which were interpreted. AN OPEN EXPERIMENTAL PROTOCOL — FREE A protocol for testing auditory entrainment with an EEG is published free at freqcraft.app/protocol: exact stimulus settings, a matched control, and what would count as a null result. Nothing here is advice and nothing here is a promise. The offer is exploration — precise frequencies, named sources, and an instrument that tells you what it does not know.

What's new

Fixed: unplugging your headphones ends the session again. FreqCraft is now excluded from Android backup and phone-to-phone transfer. The app has never had internet permission, but Android itself was copying app data to Google Drive. It no longer does. Your presets stay on this device — and will not follow you to a new phone. The true-stereo self-test now names one voice: with two or more voices running, a pulsing "wah-wah" is normal.
