Cinema colour for the photos and videos you already have. Halation puts a film look on what is already in your camera roll. Pick a photo or a clip, choose a look, and the grade happens on your phone, not on a server, and there is no account to create. 24 FILM LOOKS Aurora, Nightfall, Vision, Bleach, Anamorphic, Noir, Flash Night, Funtime, Overexposed, Green Room, Expired, Party, Portrait, Gold, Vivid, Tri-Grain, Tungsten, Meadow, Fade, Clean, Mono, Warm Air, Steel and Amber. Each one is a full colour transform, not a filter laid over the top. They were built and baked as 3D lookup tables, which is the same method colourists use in film post-production — so the shift lands in the shadows and the highlights, not just on the surface. TEXTURE THAT MATCHES THE STOCK Nine frames: 35 mm, Super 8, 16 mm, 6x6, Instant, Half, Scope, Contact and Pano. Three kinds of wear: dust, scratches, aged. Three light leaks: edge, corner, band. Four grain stocks: Standard, 8 mm, 16 mm and 35 mm — grain sized to the format it came from, so 8 mm is coarse and 35 mm is fine. Every layer has its own strength. Nothing is all-or-nothing. VIDEO, NOT JUST PHOTOS The same 24 looks and the same texture layers apply to clips. Halation re-encodes with the grade baked in, at the resolution and frame rate your phone recorded, and writes the finished file straight back to your gallery. SHARED ALBUMS, WITH A DATE Make an album, share one link, and everyone shoots into it. You can leave it open — photos appear as they are taken — or lock it as a time capsule: nothing can be opened by anyone until the date you set. A locked album is locked by mathematics, not by a rule on a server. Nobody can look early, including us. On the date, it opens for everyone at once. There are no accounts anywhere in this, and no server holding your photographs. Phones talk to each other directly. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account. No sign-up. No subscription. No ads. No watermark. Editing works with no connection at all — the looks live inside the app. Halation never asks for access to your photo library.
