A real car needs an adapter; the demo vehicles do not. ★ SAFETY & LIABILITY DiagBimmer must not be operated while the vehicle is in motion. Service actions run with the vehicle stationary, parking brake applied and the transmission in Park or Neutral. Parking brake service mode is the exception: it releases the brake so the pads can come out — chock the vehicle first; the app warns while the brake stays disabled. Every write asks for confirmation first, except ones that restore a factory setting, stop a running routine or repeat an approved step. Expert-level tools write to vehicle modules — forced DPF regeneration, parking brake service mode, coding writes and the Hex Terminal. They are for technicians who understand the commands they send; damage from improper use is the user's responsibility (Terms of Use).
