Full description
Descroll hides the feeds, not the apps. Deleting Instagram works right up until you need to answer a message. Descroll takes the other road: it covers the infinite feed and leaves everything else exactly where it was. Your conversations, your profile, search, stories — all still there. Only the part built to keep you scrolling is gone. WHAT IT COVERS • Instagram: feed and Reels • TikTok: For You and Following • Snapchat: Spotlight • Facebook: feed and Reels In each app the cover stops just below the stories row. The bottom bar stays reachable, the header stays reachable, and a conversation is still two taps away. A DAILY SCROLL LIMIT Give yourself twenty minutes a day, or ten. Descroll counts only the time you actually spend on a feed, not the time the app is open. When the limit runs out, the feeds stay hidden until four in the morning, when the counter starts again from zero. There is no reset button. There is an "add 15 minutes" button, and it shows you what it costs before you use it: the day stops counting for your streak. YOUR OWN HOURS Evenings, nights, revision time. Pick the days, the hours and the apps. During those hours the apps are blocked entirely, with one exception: a button that takes you straight to your messages. Being unreachable was never the point. A STREAK TO KEEP Every day under your limit adds one. Miss a day and a freeze covers it: two to start, one more every three months, three at most. A day no limit covers hides nothing and leaves the streak where it is — it neither rises nor breaks. Tap a day in the calendar and it opens: how long you scrolled, which app took that time, whether the day counted, and why. WHAT YOU GET BACK The time you did not spend scrolling, counted against the habit you described when you installed the app, and shown in days once there is a day of it. It is an estimate, and the app says so plainly rather than claiming a precision it does not have. Blocks and feed time are there too, day by day and week by week. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget: your streak, your last seven days, and the scrolling done today — in red once the limit is spent. And one notification in the evening, your day in a line. Both optional. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE Descroll has no network permission at all. This is not a promise not to send anything — the app is technically incapable of sending anything, and you can check the permission list yourself. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no ads, no third-party SDK. Your settings, your schedules and your counters live on your phone and are deleted when you uninstall. ABOUT THE ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION To cover a feed and leave your messages alone, Descroll has to know which screen is showing. Android offers exactly one way to do that: the accessibility service. It is restricted to the four apps above: no other app is ever read. It reads what is on screen — the identifiers of the elements and the visible text, enough to tell a feed from a conversation or a profile — and keeps nothing of what it reads. You grant it yourself, and you can revoke it in a second. Available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.

What's new

Descroll keeps a streak: every day under your scroll limit adds one, and a freeze covers a day you miss. New: a calendar where each day opens on the time you scrolled and the app that took it, the time you win back counted in days, a home screen widget and an evening recap. Schedules are tighter: stories and reels stay covered wherever they are opened from, while your messages stay one tap away.
