WatchBell

WatchBell is a professional crew watch scheduler built for bluewater passages and offshore racing. Whether you're shorthanded or running a full watch bill, WatchBell keeps everyone rested, the rotation fair, and the boat moving. LIVE WATCH DASHBOARD See who's on watch right now, how much time is left in their shift, and who's up next — at a glance. A real-time progress bar counts down the current watch while the upcoming 12-hour timeline keeps the whole crew in the loop. THREE SCHEDULE MODES • Standard — equal-length watches (2, 3, 4, or 6 hours) with automatic crew rotation • Day/Night — set different watch durations for daylight and night windows; keep night watches shorter and rest longer • Custom — build any repeating pattern, assign specific crew to specific slots, or let the rotation fill them automatically CAPTAIN'S HOUR Schedule a daily all-hands period at a time of your choosing — ideal for vessel checks, weather briefings, or meals together. ROTATION HEALTH CHECK WatchBell warns you when your crew count and watch length create a static rotation where every sailor pulls the same hours every night. It confirms when the schedule is healthy and naturally drifting to distribute night watches fairly. CREW MANAGEMENT Add crew members and drag to reorder the rotation sequence. Tap any crew member to view their individual watch stats. SHIP TIME CLOCK Displays the correct ship time wherever you sail. Set a manual UTC offset as you cross time zones, or sync automatically to your phone's time zone. NIGHT VISION MODE Switches the display to a red tint to protect your night vision on deck. Toggle it manually or have it engage automatically at local sunset using your GPS position. PRINT & SHARE Generate a clean, printable full schedule and export any crew member's watches as calendar entries so they can set their own alarms. WORKS OFFLINE No internet connection required. All data is stored locally on your device — no account, no cloud, no subscription. Built by a solo bluewater sailor. No ads. If WatchBell helps keep your crew safe and rested offshore, consider buying the developer a coffee.
