Deck & Dine: Cook More at Home

Deck & Dine is a 30-day cooking challenge played with ingredient cards. Each day you open a pack of 5 and 1 goes into your pantry. You cook a real meal at home from what's in it and sign the day off. On day 30 the challenge ends with a Feast. The app has no recipes. Your pantry starts with 3 ingredients plus salt and pepper and grows by a card a day, and what you make from it is your call. HOW A DAY WORKS • Pick a pack before you see a card. Cards 1 to 4 are Common and card 5 is Uncommon or better, with the odds printed on the pack. • Keep 1 card for your pantry. All 5 go into your collection. • Cook from your pantry and sign the day: cooked, rest day, cheat meal or missed. Nobody checks. PICK YOUR CHALLENGE • Cooking: your main meal each day, with 1 rest day a week and 2 cheat meals. Both keep your streak. • Fitness: every meal, every day, with no rest days and no cheat meals. • Impossible: your main meal, with the app picking your pack and your card, and no pantry slots. • Custom: set the meals, the rest days, the cheat meals and who deals. Each set of terms carries a tier, from Home Cook to Executive Chef. Every challenge pays the same Feast. WHAT A MISS COSTS The rules are on screen before you start. • Cooking: opening the next day's pack signs the day before as cooked, and 3 catch-ups let you sign up to 2 days late. A day left unsigned after that uses the week's rest day, then breaks the streak. The challenge carries on to day 30. • Fitness: sign each day by midnight. A miss starts the challenge again from day 1, and the cards you kept leave your pantry. • Impossible: sign each day by midnight. A miss uses the week's rest day, then starts the challenge again from day 1. On every challenge your collection and each card's level stay yours, including when you leave a challenge early. WHAT FINISHING PAYS • Cook on day 7, 14, 21 or 28 and it pays a Collection Pack: 3 cards from a set you own, all of them yours. • Finish all 30 days for the Feast. Pick 1 card from your pantry to make Legendary, and take a Menu of the pantry you built and 3 Collection Packs. Cook every day and the Menu is gilded. THE CARDS • Every ingredient is an illustrated card. • Each day you cook, every card in your pantry earns a point. Points move a card up the rarity ladder, Common to Legendary. 30 days of cooking takes a new card as far as Rare, and the top takes months. • Pull a card you already own at a higher rarity and it moves up to match. Otherwise it turns into points. • Collection Packs have longer odds than the pack you cook for, so the best pulls come from cooking. • Your collection shows every card your diet can collect, with the ones you haven't found yet as silhouettes. MORE PACKS 3 dailies, Draw, Keep and Sign, pay a Collection Pack each, and achievements pay packs too. YOUR KITCHEN • Omnivore, vegetarian and vegan each deal from their own packs. • Set gluten-free or any allergens and the packs deal around them. An affected card is swapped for one without it, or left out when no swap exists. Allergen settings can be wrong, so check the packaging yourself. • Pick UK or US names for the ingredients: courgette or zucchini. No account and no paywall before your first pack. Usage statistics stay off unless you turn them on. The app never asks your weight and gives no medical or nutritional advice.
