Full description
DasGo teaches the German articles the way they actually work: by ending patterns where there is a rule, by practice where there isn't, by speaking out loud, and by review for the words that still refuse to stick. THE ARTICLE QUIZ - the rules Choose how many ending rules to practise and race a 60-second round. The more rules, the harder the round and the more XP it pays. Answer right in a row and your heat climbs: a bigger XP multiplier and a little extra time. Every word shows the ending that decides its article, so each answer teaches a rule you can reuse on words you have never seen. Swipe a word up to keep it in your flashcards. THE WORD SEARCH - the exceptions No clock on this one. Find a German noun hidden in a grid of letters, then say whether it takes der, die or das. These are the everyday words whose endings tell you nothing - Flasche, Auge, Sonne - the ones you can only learn one at a time. A wrong guess does not end the word: keep trying until it is right, and the finished board becomes a colour-coded revision sheet. DIALOGS - say your part out loud Listen to a short German conversation, then play your side of it. There are 150 dialogs in five situations, from ordering a coffee to arguing about nuclear power, each in three chapters. Every line is recorded in a female and a male voice and translated into your language, and your phone's speech recognition shows how much of what you said it understood. Tap any word to see its meaning and save it. SAY IT BACK - from memory Ten lines from the dialogs, one at a time. Hear a line, then say it back, even with the text hidden. You choose the level, from A1 to C1. FLASHCARDS - the ones that won't stick Keep words from the word search, the quiz, the dialogs or the full noun list. Your decks come back on a spaced schedule - a day, then two, three, five, eight, stretching out to nearly five months. You rate each card yourself, and reviews never cost energy. Any noun can be played with its article, in a female or a male voice. PROGRESS XP and levels (the harder levels open as you level up), daily streaks, accuracy per article, and 24 stars to collect in the Awards tab. WHAT YOU GET • 42 ending rules, from the everyday to the obscure • 3,000+ everyday nouns in the word search and the decks, graded A1-C1 • 1,400+ nouns in the quiz • 150 dialogs, 450 chapters • Card meanings in 10 languages • Review your mistakes after every round and see the rule you missed • 10 interface languages • The quiz and the word search work offline (Dialogs and Say It Back need a connection to load their audio) BUILT TO BE FAIR No ads. No data selling. Analytics stay off until you switch them on, and you can switch them back off any time. The microphone is used only while you speak. You get 12 energy a day, refilled every morning. The quiz and the word search only charge you for wrong answers, and at easier levels not every mistake counts. A new Dialogs chapter costs 2 and a Say It Back round costs 1; replays and flashcard reviews are free. Everything except Flashcards and Awards works without an account, and you can buy Unlimited without one. Those two need a free account, so what you build syncs across your devices. A free account's decks hold 100 words in all; the optional Unlimited subscription removes that cap and the energy limit. PERFECT IF YOU ARE Studying for a Goethe or telc exam, living in a German-speaking country, or just tired of getting the article wrong on words you already know. Viel Erfolg.

What's new

New: Flashcards and Awards work without an account, so nothing in the app needs one anymore. An account backs up your progress and syncs it between devices. New: the first round of each day celebrates your day streak. New: Dialogs play a sound when you finish a line and when every line of a chapter is done.
