Full description
Read one shloka before opening the apps that distract you automatically. Daily Shloks sits quietly between you and the apps distract you. You reach for your phone out of habit. Instead of the feed, a single verse from the Bhagavad Gita - the Sanskrit, a clear translation, and a short commentary. Read it, and the app opens as normal. It is not a blocker that tells you no. It is a doorway that asks for a moment of attention first, and gives you something worth reading in exchange. WHAT YOU GET • All 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita, with translation and commentary • You choose which apps ask for a shloka — social media, games, anything • A reading streak, so the habit becomes visible • A journey through the Gita that advances as you read, chapter by chapter • Share any verse as a card • Works completely offline PRIVACY Daily Shloks has no account, no server, and no analytics. Your blocked-app list and your reading history never leave your phone. The app makes no network requests at all. ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION Daily Shloks uses Android's accessibility service for one purpose: to notice the moment you open an app you have chosen to block, so it can show you a shloka first. It receives only the package name of the app being opened. It does not read the contents of your screen. This is enforced technically — the service is declared without screen-content access, so it cannot see your messages, your passwords, or anything you type, in any app. You can turn the permission off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility. FOR WHOM Anyone who wants less time in the feed and more time in the Gita — whether you have read it before or are opening it for the first time.

What's new

Updated the accessibility permission screen so it clearly presents both options before the permission is requested.
