Dacia Travel Companion

Dedicated to Dacia vehicle owners, Dacia Travel Companion is the travel application that takes care of you and invites you to explore. The app suggests the best places to take a break at the right times, depending on your destination, your preferences and how tired you are. MANAGE YOUR FATIGUE AT THE WHEEL Fatigue is a driver's number 1 enemy. Certain times of the day are particularly conducive to nodding off: during the day between 1pm and 3pm, and at night between 2am and 5am. The only way to remedy this is to take a break. Dacia Travel Companion complements the detection system present in certain vehicles by offering you a break at the right time. It analyses the length of your journey, data from your health application and the hours of sleep you entered the night before. At the same time, it measures your level of drowsiness at the wheel in real time using images from your smartphone's camera. The application can thus detect signs of fatigue and alert you effectively. ENRICH YOUR VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY Combine the pleasant with the useful! Dacia Travel Companion offers you stops that will allow you to take a breather and recharge your batteries, as well as providing entertainment, cultural opportunities or simply a chance to do yourself a favour. Thanks to its personalised suggestions feature, every break becomes an opportunity to explore places that match your preferences and needs on your itinerary. Whether you're a gourmet, a culture buff or just looking for a moment of relaxation, whether you need to find a garage, an ATM or a chemist, Dacia Travel Companion adapts to your circumstances and your desires. ACTIVATE ASSISTANCE EASILY Do you want to take to the road and benefit from Dacia Travel Companion assistance? It's very simple: - Enter your journey - Select your break location preferences - Enter your sleep times from the previous day - Place your smartphone on a suitable surface facing you, and authorise access to the camera to detect your face and signs of drowsiness. The application will recommend stops at the best times and in the best places. However, it's up to you to take a break whenever you feel the need. And don't worry, none of this data is stored or shared! Breaks are part of the journey, and the French road safety organisation Prévention Routière recommends that you stop every 2 hours, and more if necessary, at the first signs of fatigue.
