CtrlBus is the authorized captain app for school transport operations managed through CtrlCampus. Captains can: • Sign in with school-provided credentials • View assigned buses, routes, stops, students, and trip schedules • Start and complete pickup and drop trips • Record stop arrival/departure and student boarding, absence, no-show, and drop events • Report trip delays and issues • Share live bus location and ETA with authorized school staff and parents Location privacy Live location sharing starts only after the captain reviews the prominent disclosure, grants precise location access, and taps Start trip. During an active trip, CtrlBus continues collecting location about every ten seconds while the app is minimized, the screen is locked, or the app is not in use. An ongoing Android notification remains visible while tracking is active. Tracking stops when the trip ends or the captain signs out. CtrlBus is restricted to authorized school transport staff. Accounts are issued by participating schools; there is no public account creation. Location and trip information is shared only with the school and authorized parents for transport safety and operations. CtrlBus does not sell location data or use it for advertising.
