Full description
You own twelve flats on Bellweather Row. The roof leaks, the boiler is older than one of your tenants, and the rent lands on the first of every month whatever you do about it. Slumlord is a landlord simulator about the gap between what a building needs and what you feel like paying for. Every month, people write to you. The lift-off paint. The window that opens four inches. The smoke alarm that came away in someone's hand. You get three buttons: fix it, stall it, or refuse it outright. Fixing costs money now. Stalling costs nothing and costs you later. Refusing closes the ticket and leaves the hole exactly where it was, and the tenant never quite forgets. A FIFTEEN-YEAR CAREER, ONE MONTH AT A TIME No timers. No energy bars. No waiting for a building to finish. The month only moves when you move it, and it saves on every single decision, so you can put it down mid-inspection and pick it up mid-inspection three days later. THE COUNCIL IS A REAL OPPONENT Every unanswered complaint raises how interested the housing team is in your address, and you can see that number before you end the month. Nothing in this game ambushes you. The inspector who turns up has a type, and you are told which one before you decide whether to do the work, contest it, or send a very generous gift basket. One of those three is the right answer and it is not always the same one. TENANTS ARE PEOPLE Twenty-eight of them, with names, jobs and patience that runs out at different speeds. Grandma Yun will apologise for mentioning the boiler. The man in 3B will organise the entire second floor. Neglecting the tenant who never complains is the cheapest thing you can do this month and the most expensive thing you can do this year. THE MONEY Rent, mortgages that never amortise, insurance that climbs as the building rots, and a property tycoon's real question underneath all of it: do you milk this block, renovate it, or sell it to someone worse than you? Take a wreck to a good standard, keep it clean, and you can move it up a class — the only thing in the game that pays forever. Fix everything and you will retire comfortable and small. Fix nothing and the council will have your buildings before year two. Everything interesting is in between. FREE, OFFLINE, NO PURCHASES No in-app purchases of any kind. Plays with the aeroplane mode on. Mature themes: neglect, eviction and bribery, played for comedy. Nobody real was harmed and no actual property was managed.
