Full description

A calculator is rarely what you actually need. What you need is the VAT on £250, the way to split a bill three ways, the number of days until a date, or what 3/4 + 2/5 comes to. Calqira puts ten tools in one app. THE TEN TOOLS • Classic — everyday calculations, with memory • Scientific — advanced functions, degrees or radians • Maths — fractions, percentages, rule of three, divisors, equations • VAT / Discount — business calculations, gross to net and back • Tip & Split — the shared bill, down to the last penny • Converter — units and measures • Dates — the span between two dates, adding or removing days • Time — adding hours up, and a stopwatch with laps • Geometry — area, volume, perimeter • Statistics — mean, median, standard deviation SMART INPUT On the home screen, write what you are after the way you would say it. The answer appears in the field, with no tool to pick first. 15% of 250 → 37.5 2h30 + 45min → 03:15 3/4 + 2/5 → 23/20 = 1.15 5 ft 10 in → 177.8 cm YOUR NUMBERS, WRITTEN YOUR WAY 22 regions, each with its own currency, VAT rate and unit system. Calqira writes 1,250.50 in the United Kingdom and 1 250,50 in France, and reads both — including an amount pasted in from somewhere else. Eight languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian. Language and region are set separately, because working in English on prices in euros is an ordinary situation. EIGHT THEMES Modern, Cat, Flower, Heart, Anime, BlockCraft, Build City and Pixel Adventure. The theme you pick applies to every tool, not just the home screen. YOUR CALCULATIONS STAY ON YOUR PHONE Everything is worked out on the device. History, favourites and settings are stored locally and go to no server — there isn't one. No account, no sign-up, and no permission asked for: no camera, no contacts, no location, no access to your files. The app works offline. ACCESSIBILITY Larger text, high contrast, reduced animations, key sounds and vibration, each set independently — and Calqira follows the phone's own settings too. Calqira is free, paid for by a discreet banner at the bottom of the screen. It sits in a strip reserved for it: it never covers a key or a result, and never interrupts a calculation. What's new

Fixes: • Numbers with commas, points or spaces read alike in every tool; unreadable values marked. • Calculator: MR replaces the number typed, √16 = closes its bracket, long results fit. • Stopwatch and timer run on outside the Time tool. • Smart input: 100 kg in lb, heights in ft and in, Enter calculates. • Fraction and equation steps fixed; discounts stop at 100 %. • History search finds tool names. • TalkBack names every field; damaged settings no longer crash.
