CronZeno

CronZeno: Sport GPS Tracker & Racing Tool CronZeno is a multi-platform app built by a small team who simply love outdoor sports. We created this tool for anyone dedicated to challenging themselves—be it running, cycling, walking, hiking, skiing, sailing, or swimming—who needs reliable data without the usual hassle. We are a non-commercial project committed to providing a reliable, free tool for our community. We focus on the essentials: empowering you to set up your own tracks, race with friends, and easily track your progress with data you can actually trust. 🤝 Community-Focused Integrity, Privacy & Connectivity We noticed that existing apps often fall short on integrity, privacy, and flexibility when it comes to club competitions. Our solution combines uncompromised local privacy with powerful, decentralized online racing features: 1. Data Integrity You Can Trust (No More "Fake GPX") We believe your effort deserves verifiable results. Cryptographic Signature: Every activity file is signed with a Proprietary Hash upon recording. This signature acts as a proof of authenticity, making external file manipulation nearly impossible and guaranteeing your result is certified. Transparent Accuracy: Lap and sector times are calculated using Geometric LineSectors and Chronometric Interpolation—simple, precise methods that eliminate the guesswork of opaque algorithms. 2. Privacy, Sustainability, and Hybrid Control We built CronZeno to minimize risk and resource consumption: Privacy-First Architecture: Your primary data is stored safely on your device. We eliminate the risk of large-scale cloud data breaches by putting you in control of what you share and when. Sustainable Computation: All the heavy lifting—hash validation and result calculation—is performed locally on devices. We avoid the constant energy drain associated with massive, always-on cloud infrastructure. Offline Ready: Tracking is native. Maps (OpenStreetMap) are cached locally, ensuring reliable data logging and navigation even when you lose signal. 3. Global & Team Racing (New Online Ecosystem) Connect with the athletic community on your own terms: Peer-Endorsed Roles: Earn your reputation within the community through a three-level role system: Athlete, Team Manager, and Race Master. Team-Restricted Events: Keep it competitive but private by publishing races visible exclusively to your team members. ⚙️ Core Features GPS Tracking: High-fidelity logging optimized for various sports. Custom Track Creation: Design your own courses complete with Laps and Sectors (Splits). Certified Timing: Ultra-precise result calculation based on LineSectors.
