CronoTax: Tax Client Portal

CronoTax - Client Portal is the secure portal your accounting firm uses to work with you. Upload tax documents, complete your organizer, e-sign your engagement letter, message your CPA, and keep track of deadlines, all from your phone. IMPORTANT: CronoTax is invitation only. Your tax firm must already use CronoTax and send you an invitation before you can sign in. You cannot create an account by yourself, and CronoTax cannot connect you to a firm. SEND DOCUMENTS WITHOUT THE EMAIL BACK AND FORTH Your firm sends an itemized list of exactly what it needs, each item labelled with the form type, category, description and priority. You see what is still outstanding and upload against each item. Photograph a W-2, 1099 or K-1, or attach a PDF you already have. The portal accepts PDF, JPG and PNG. COMPLETE YOUR ORGANIZER AND QUESTIONNAIRE Work through your tax organizer section by section at your own pace, with a progress indicator and a built-in document checklist. Progress saves as you go, so you can start on your phone and finish another day. Your firm's questionnaire works the same way, with follow-up questions appearing only when an earlier answer makes them relevant. E-SIGN YOUR ENGAGEMENT LETTER Read the engagement letter with your details, scope and fee terms already filled in, then sign by drawing your signature on screen. No printing, no scanning, no separate e-signature account. You can also decline, and the status is shown clearly either way. MESSAGE YOUR CPA DIRECTLY Secure, real-time chat with the person handling your return. Send text, attach files and images, or record a voice message when a question is easier to say than to type. Delivery and read receipts show when your firm has seen it, and the full history stays available so neither side has to repeat context. NEVER MISS A DEADLINE Your tax calendar shows federal, state, payment and filing dates, split into overdue and upcoming and flagged by priority. Export a single event, or the whole calendar, into the calendar app you already use. REVIEW AND PAY INVOICES Your firm emails invoices with a secure link. If your firm has connected Stripe, you can pay by card from that link. The payment goes to your firm. CronoTax is not in the middle of the transaction, and CronoTax never charges you anything. ONE LOGIN FOR EVERY RELATIONSHIP If you are a client of your firm in more than one capacity, for example your personal return and the business you own, you sign in once and switch between them. No second account and no second password. BUILT FOR SENSITIVE INFORMATION Sign in with the email address your firm invited, or with Google, Apple or Microsoft. Two-factor authentication is available in your profile and adds a six-digit code sent by SMS or voice call. Connections are encrypted with TLS. Documents are held in private storage that is not publicly addressable and are served only through authorized links that expire. Your firm controls which documents are visible to you, and you can never see another client's records. WHAT CRONOTAX IS NOT CronoTax does not prepare or calculate tax returns, and it does not e-file with the IRS or with any state taxing authority. It is the portal your firm uses to collect information, share documents and communicate with you. Your firm prepares and files your return in its own software.
