Cresus

Cresus is an educational reference on slot machines — how they are engineered, tested, regulated and designed to be read critically. This is not a game. Cresus contains no slot play, no wagering, no simulated stakes, no virtual currency, no real-money gambling and no in-app purchases. Every statistic in the app is a count of what you have read and answered. WHAT’S INSIDE Library — 13 articles Four sections: History, Mechanics, Math and Literacy. The shelf covers: • From Charles Fey’s Liberty Bell to modern video cabinets • The subsystems inside a cabinet, and which one actually decides the outcome • How a random number generator becomes a row of symbols • RTP, house edge, volatility and hit frequency — what the numbers do and do not promise • Paylines, ways-to-win, cluster pays, wilds, scatters and progressive jackpots • Myths such as “hot” machines, due payouts and the stop button • Independent testing labs and how game software is certified • Cabinet design psychology • Informed and responsible play, including where to find help Bookmark articles to return to them. Reading progress is a simple count of opened pieces. Glossary — 29 terms A searchable A–Z of industry language, from Autoplay and BAR to RTP, TITO, virtual reels and volatility. Entries include plain-language definitions and common aliases. Quiz — 10 questions per round Each round draws 10 multiple-choice questions from a bank of 30, across the same four topics as the library. Answers are explained as you go. Missed questions link back to the article that covers them. Your score is the number of correct answers — nothing else. Progress and badges Badges are awarded for reading and for quiz accuracy. There is no currency, no luck streak and no stake of any kind. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone who wants a field guide instead of marketing copy: players who want to understand the machines they already see, and readers interested in the history, hardware, maths and regulation behind reel games. Cresus works offline. There is no account, no advertising and no network requirement. Progress is stored only on your device. Cresus is a reference and quiz app. It is not a casino, not a social casino and not a simulator.
