Full description
Your child borrows your phone for a video or a game, and somehow ends up somewhere else. CrenelView stops that. Tick the apps that must not open. When one of them is opened, it closes and the phone goes back to the home screen. There is no password prompt to get past and nothing for a child to guess. Everything else works exactly as before: your calls, your messages, your camera, your banking. HOW IT BLOCKS: THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API CrenelView uses Android's accessibility service and cannot block anything without it. You switch it on yourself during setup, after the app has explained what it will do. The service tells CrenelView which app has just come to the front. If that app is on your blocked list, CrenelView closes it and returns the phone to the home screen, including a video that has shrunk into a corner window. While protection is on, it also recognises the settings screen holding its own switch, so a child cannot quietly turn blocking off. Uninstalling CrenelView is never blocked. That is the whole of it. No screen content is stored, logged or sent anywhere, and the app has no internet permission to send it with. IT RUNS ON YOUR OWN PHONE Most apps of this kind expect your child to own a phone, with an account you manage from a distance. Plenty of families do not work that way: the child has no phone and simply borrows yours. CrenelView needs no second device, no child account and no sign in. It works like a child lock, or kid mode, for the phone already in your hand. BETTER THAN PINNING ONE APP Android can pin the screen to one app, and children work out how to leave it. CrenelView blocks as many apps as you choose, keeps them blocked as your child moves between them, and puts them back on their own when time is up. ALL THE TIME, OR ONLY AT CERTAIN HOURS Block your list all day, or only during hours you set, such as 20:00 to 07:00 for bedtime, or through homework time. HANDING THE PHONE OVER Sometimes the video is the whole point. Tap 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes and your blocked apps open for exactly that long, then block themselves again. You do not have to remember to switch anything back on. A PIN ONLY YOU KNOW A PIN protects your settings so a child cannot switch blocking off. Forgotten it? The recovery code you saved at setup gets you back in. Lost that too? A 24 hour reset works, and everything stays blocked while you wait. NEW GAMES CAN BLOCK THEMSELVES Turn on one switch and any game installed from then on joins your list by itself. You will see it there, and you can untick it whenever you like. If you uninstall that game later, it comes off the list too. CHECK THAT IT IS ACTUALLY WORKING Some phones shut background apps down to save battery. CrenelView includes a check that tells you plainly whether blocking is running right now, instead of leaving you to hope. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE CrenelView does not hold permission to use the internet. That is not a promise in a policy document, it is something you can check yourself in the permissions list on this page. The app has no technical means to send anything anywhere. No account. No sign in. No server. No ads. No analytics or crash reporting inside the app. No location. We do not know who you are and we have no way of finding out. The list of apps on your phone is read on the phone only, so you can choose what to block. It is never sent anywhere. WHAT CRENELVIEW DOES NOT DO We would rather you knew before installing. It does not watch a child's separate phone. It does not show screen time, usage reports or statistics of any kind, because measuring that needs a permission we deliberately do not ask for. It does not filter websites, read messages or track location. It does not put a password in front of an app: blocked apps simply close. If any of those is what you are looking for, another app will suit you better. Apne phone par bacchon ke liye YouTube aur games band karne ka aasan tareeka. Support: [email protected]

What's new

If you are a parent worried about your child's screen time, and your child uses your own phone, CrenelView is for you. Choose the apps that must not open. When your child opens one, it closes and the phone goes back to the home screen. Block all day or only at set times, or allow apps for 10 to 60 minutes. CrenelView uses Android's accessibility service to close blocked apps. No account, no sign in, and no internet permission, so nothing leaves your phone.
