LookAR

LookAR is your private, offline-first food label scanner. Using on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR), LookAR instantly reads physical product packaging in real-time to help you spot specific ingredients, allergens, or dietary restrictions. Whether you are managing food allergies, following a specific diet, or trying to avoid certain additives, LookAR acts as your digital assistant during grocery shopping. Point your camera at any ingredient list, and the app will instantly highlight the keywords you are looking for. CORE FEATURES (FREE) • Real-Time OCR Scanner: Instantly analyze text on physical packaging through your device's camera. • Pre-built Allergen Lists: Includes default tracking for common allergens such as Lactose, Gluten, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Shellfish, Eggs, and Soy. • 100% Offline & Private: No internet connection is required to scan. All image processing happens locally on your device. • No Accounts Required: Open the app and start scanning. Zero sign-ups, zero usage tracking. LOOKAR PRO (ONE-TIME UPGRADE) For users with specific dietary needs, LookAR offers an optional, one-time lifetime upgrade (no subscriptions): • Custom Categories: Create your own personalized diet lists (e.g., Vegan, Keto, FODMAP, Halal). • Custom Ingredients: Add unlimited custom keywords, specific E-numbers, or hidden additives you want the scanner to detect. PRIVACY BY DESIGN We believe in absolute privacy. LookAR does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Video frames are processed in temporary memory (RAM) and are never saved or sent to external servers. Your custom lists and Pro license status are stored exclusively in your device's local secure storage. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER LookAR is an assistance tool, not a medical device. The free ingredient lists are basic and not exhaustive. OCR technology can occasionally misread text due to lighting, folds, or bad printing. Always read the physical packaging yourself before consuming any product, especially if you have severe or life-threatening allergies.
