Speak, and Aspenote writes it down — on your phone. The recording never leaves the device, there is no account, and it works with no connection at all: on a plane, in a basement, on a train through a tunnel. TRANSCRIPTION THAT RUNS ON THE PHONE The speech model lives on the device. Your audio is not sent to us and it is not sent to anyone else, because offline means there is no server to send it to. For a conversation under an NDA, a consultation, a client interview or a session with a patient, private transcription is the difference between a tool you are allowed to use and one you are not. THE LANGUAGES IT WORKS IN English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch, transcribed on the device with no connection. We name them rather than counting them, and we tested each one before naming it: overpromising a language costs you the meeting, because you find out afterwards and the meeting does not come back. A RECORDER THAT DOES NOT STOP Recording continues through a phone call and a locked screen. Audio is written to storage as it is captured, so an interruption costs seconds rather than the whole recording. Close the app and the note finishes on its own. The transcript stays in the language the room used, so nothing is lost — the translation sits beside it rather than replacing it. BRING A RECORDING YOU ALREADY HAVE Import a voice memo, an interview, a lecture, a meeting somebody sent you. Imported audio is transcribed on the phone too — importing does not quietly send it somewhere. FREE AND PRO Your first two notes are complete at any length. After that you get five notes a day of up to five minutes each, and the count starts again every morning. Aspenote Pro removes both limits for a single payment instead of a subscription. ONE-TIME SETUP The first run downloads the speech recognition model, about 160 MB, over Wi-Fi. It is the only time the app needs a connection.
