Cosmic Atlas: Astro Logbook

Stop losing critical capture data across scattered spreadsheets, paper logbooks, and fragmented weather apps. Cosmic Atlas is the dedicated astrophotography session tracker, deep-sky observation journal, and precision field planner built by astrophotographers for astrophotographers. Whether you run a dedicated mono CCD/CMOS cooled rig, a DSLR on a star tracker, or an automated smart telescope, Cosmic Atlas unites your entire imaging workflow into one seamless, offline-first command center. ZONE 1: COSMIC JOURNAL & TECHNICAL SESSION TRACKER Eliminate guesswork from your acquisition workflow. The Cosmic Journal logs every single technical parameter of your imaging sessions and automatically links your final processed astrophoto with its complete raw acquisition history. • DEEP SUB-EXPOSURE LOGGING: Record individual sub-exposure durations, total integration hours, light frames, darks, flats, and bias calibration sets. • SENSOR & OPTICAL TELEMETRY: Track camera gain/ISO, sensor cooling temperature (-5C, -10C), offset, cooler power %, binning, and focal reducer ratios. • FILTER WHEEL PROFILING: Log narrowband channels (Ha, OIII, SII) and broadband sets (L, R, G, B, Dual-Band, Triband) per session. • AUTO-CAPTURED SITE METRICS: Automatically records Bortle class (1-9), GPS coordinates, elevation, ambient temperature, humidity, and Moon illumination percentage. • MULTI-NIGHT PROJECT MERGING: Seamlessly merge imaging sessions captured across days, weeks, or months into a unified master deep-sky project. • OBSERVATION TIMELINE & STATS: Visualize your clear-sky productivity with monthly activity heatmaps, cumulative integration counters, and qualitative session ratings. • SHAREABLE ASTRO CARDS: Generate 1-click technical summary cards with equipment badges and exposure stats formatted for Instagram, Discord, and astrophotography forums. ZONE 2: 15,000+ DEEP-SKY EXPLORER & TARGET PLANNER Discover, verify, and frame optimal deep-sky objects without needing an internet connection in the field. • 100% OFFLINE ASTRONOMICAL CATALOG: Instant access to over 15,000 verified deep-sky targets including emission nebulae, dark nebulae, planetary nebulae, spiral galaxies, and globular clusters. • REAL-TIME TRANSIT & ALTITUDE CURVES: Plan your night around exact hour-by-hour altitude graphs, meridian flip markers, and true astronomical darkness windows. • SENSOR FOV FRAMING CALCULATOR: Enter your telescope focal length and camera sensor dimensions to calculate exact target framing percentage and field of view. • MOSAIC GRID ASSISTANT: Plan multi-panel deep-sky mosaics with customizable overlap percentages for large celestial targets. • CUSTOM HORIZON & OBSTACLE MASKS: Define custom tree and building obstruction angles across 8 and 16 compass directions so you only image targets clearing your local horizon. • 2D/3D SKY RADAR: Pinpoint tonight's best targets in real time based on your current pointing direction and sky visibility. • ASTRONOMICAL SEEING & WEATHER HUB: Live imaging suitability score (0-100%) tracking atmospheric turbulence, cloud layers, dew point delta, and lunar interference. ZONE 3: MASTERPIECE GALLERY & COSMIC NOVA PRIVATE AI Showcase your final images and receive instant on-field guidance without compromising your privacy. • MASTERPIECE LIGHTBOX: High-resolution dark-mode gallery with fluid deep-zoom, grouped by deep-sky target and acquisition timeline. • PRIVATE COSMIC NOVA AI: Integrated assistant powered directly by your personal Google Gemini API key. Zero server tracking, zero data scraping, and complete privacy. • INSTANT FIELD GUIDANCE: Receive immediate suggestions for optimal filters, moonless imaging windows, and multi-night planning strategies. Engineered with astronomical rigor, high-contrast dark room ergonomics, and 100% offline autonomy. Take full control of your clear skies with Cosmic Atlas.
