Lunar tells you what the moon looks like tonight. The moon changes a little every day. Lunar works that change out and shows it for the sky above the place you are standing. ■ Today The moon is drawn as it actually appears at this moment. You get the phase name, how much of the disc is lit, and the moon's age in days since the last new moon. Moonrise and moonset are worked out for your location, along with sunrise and sunset. The next new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter are counted down for you. ■ Calendar A whole month at a glance. Lunar estimates an approximate position from your time zone instead. ■ About the calculations Positions of the moon and sun are computed with the methods set out in Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms.
