Full description
Take me back to a year. Oldies radio, and the hits that went with it. OLDIES RADIO More than 25 oldies stations, from doo-wop and '50s rock 'n' roll to Motown, the British Invasion and '70s soul, each checked several times a day so the list is never full of dead streams. See what's playing now, and when a song was a No. 1 hit, the app tells you the year and how long it was on top. Save a song you like and find it later in Apple Music or Spotify. Star your favorite stations, set a sleep timer, and keep listening with the screen off. THIS DAY IN MUSIC Every day, the song that was No. 1 on today's date in every year from 1950 to 1989, the stars born today, and the ones we remember. Add your birthday to see the No. 1 song the day you were born. Get the day's card each morning if you like. TAKE ME BACK TO A YEAR Pick any year, or the year you turned 16, and see every No. 1 hit of that year with how many weeks it spent on top, the year's biggest record, and the stations that play that decade. NAME THAT YEAR Five quiz questions a day about the No. 1 hits. Which year did it top the charts? Who sang it? New questions every day, and a streak for the days in a row you play. YOUR ARTISTS Follow the artists you grew up with, from Elvis and the Beatles to the Supremes, the Beach Boys and ABBA, for their news and their upcoming shows near you. A notification at most once a day for each, never at night. Sad news, when an artist dies or is ill, is always in the news list, but only notifies you if you choose that. EASY TO READ Larger text from the start, and a choice of three sizes, with light and dark modes. WHAT IT CAN'T DO The app doesn't play songs on demand: the radio stations choose what plays, and saved songs open in Apple Music or Spotify. Stations are independent internet radio, and we don't control what they play. Chart facts are US No. 1 singles from Wikipedia's lists of Billboard number ones (we aren't affiliated with Billboard). News is written by the publishers it links to, and show listings are from Ticketmaster, so shows sold elsewhere may be missing. Free, with a single banner ad. A one-time purchase removes it.
