Custodion Lite

Custodion Lite is the official Android companion for the Custodion Server. It lets you transfer files and entire folders from your phone or tablet to your own Custodion Server quickly, securely and without going through any third-party cloud. Custodion is designed for people who want to keep control of their data. Your files travel directly from your device to a server you (or your administrator) operate. There is no intermediate cloud storage, no advertising, and no account to create on our side. How it works Your server administrator generates a QR code from the Custodion Server configuration tool. Open the app, tap Register and scan the QR code. The app stores your server address and personal access code. Tap Upload Files and choose individual files or a whole folder. The app preserves the folder structure when uploading a directory. Transfers run in the background. You can leave the app, lock your screen, or switch tasks — a notification keeps the upload alive until everything is finished. Features • Upload single files, multiple files, or complete folders (with subfolders). • TLS-encrypted transfers from the device straight to your Custodion Server. • Parallel connections and chunked transfer for fast throughput on large files. • Automatic compression for compressible file types (already-compressed formats like JPEG, MP4, ZIP, PDF, Office documents and archives are sent as-is to save CPU). • Live progress per file: percentage, bytes transferred, transfer rate, and estimated time of arrival for the whole batch. • Retry failed transfers, cancel pending ones, or remove finished entries from the list. • Detects files that already exist on the server and asks before overwriting. • Checks free disk space on the server before queuing a batch. • Foreground notification keeps uploads running reliably while the app is in the background. • Long-press the logo to reset your connection or install the latest version of the app. Requirements • A reachable Custodion Server with a valid QR pairing code provided by your administrator. • Camera permission, used only to scan the pairing QR code. • Storage / file access, used only to read the files you choose to upload. • Notification permission, used to show upload progress while running in the background. Privacy The app communicates exclusively with the Custodion Server address embedded in your pairing QR code. It does not upload to any third-party service and does not collect analytics. Files you select are read only to transfer them to your server.
