ControlG: Confident English AI Live

ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API DISCLOSURE ControlG uses Android's AccessibilityService API. It is required for its core functionality to detect a trigger you configured, such as gg, in the active editable field, send that field's text for an AI rewrite, and write the rewritten result back into the same field. ControlG is a writing productivity app, not an accessibility tool. While enabled, AccessibilityService observes text changes only in the active editable field. Depending on what you type, the accessed text can include Emails, SMS or MMS messages, Other in-app messages, and Other personal info such as names, addresses, account details, or notes. ControlG collects and sends the active field text only after you type a trigger that you configured. The text is used only for app functionality: to generate the requested AI rewrite and place the result back into the active field. With built-in AI, the text goes through ControlG's Azure service to Azure OpenAI and is processed without being stored as an ordinary rewrite history. If you choose your own API key, the text goes directly to that provider under its terms. ControlG does not read password fields, notifications, or unrelated screen content. It does not sell this data or use it for advertising. Before opening Android's Accessibility settings, ControlG shows a prominent disclosure and requires your explicit consent. You can decline or disable the service at any time. ABOUT CONTROLG Write more clearly wherever you work. ControlG is a writing assistant for Android. In a standard editable field, type your text and finish with a trigger such as gg. ControlG sends the text you chose to rewrite to your selected AI service, then replaces it with the rewritten result in the same field. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Fix grammar and spelling - Make writing clearer or more concise - Change tone for work, chat, email, and social posts - Create your own triggers and instructions - Sync prompt settings across signed-in devices BUILT-IN AI OR YOUR OWN KEY Sign in with Google for 1,000 built-in AI rewrites, up to 1,000 characters each. You can also use your own Groq, Gemini, OpenAI, xAI, or compatible provider key. Optional provider keys are encrypted on your device and sent only to the provider you select. PRIVACY AND SAFETY Built-in requests are processed securely through ControlG's Azure service and Azure OpenAI, and the writing is not stored. With your own key, the request goes directly to that provider. Optional technical diagnostics are off by default and never include your writing, prompts, API keys, account id, or email. After a rewrite, you can report the latest AI-generated output from inside the app for safety review; it is sent only after a separate confirmation. ControlG works in standard editable fields. Secure password fields and some custom editors intentionally block automated reading or replacement.
