Full description
Achieve what you value. Confront is a daily journal built on Ayn Rand's Objectivism. Put philosophy into practice by choosing your goals, acting on your values, and examining your decisions honestly. Each morning Confront asks what one thing you will finish today, which of your values it serves, and what will get in the way. At night it asks whether you did it, whether the obstacle turned up, and what you refused to look at. Every week, month and year gets a review that reads those days back. HOW IT WORKS - Morning: one outcome, the value it serves, and an if-then plan for the obstacle. Free, every day. - Midday: are you working on the outcome you set this morning? - Evening: did the obstacle turn up, did you follow your own rule, and what did you avoid? - Weekly review: what got done, what did not, and whether the fault was the plan or you. Then next week's three outcomes. - Monthly and annual reviews: what got done, what did not, what to drop, and the strategy for the next one. Each value you name keeps a count of the days that served it, so you can see which parts of your life are getting your hours. Set a goal, choose an action for today, and record completed work separately from the result you achieved. Life horizon shows the time ahead based on a birth date and lifespan you choose. See your life-stage ring, days, weeks or years left, and a grid that fills another cell for each full 1% lived. A countdown shows when the next percentage point arrives. It is a planning estimate, not a prediction. Life horizon, values and goals are free. THE IDEAS BEHIND IT Explore 86 concepts in plain English, from objective reality and reason to rational self-interest, individual rights, and a life of purpose. Learn how the Objectivist virtues of rationality, independence, integrity, honesty, justice, productiveness, and pride apply to your choices. - 12 collections, including The First Thirty Days: one concept a day, with a question to act on - Quotes from Ayn Rand and Aristotle, each with its book, its year and who says the line - 19 comparison sessions that examine Objectivism alongside Stoicism, Kant, Marx, Nietzsche, effective altruism, and the wellness industry. Each presents the other philosophy's position before exploring the disagreements. The comparison sessions also introduce Leonard Peikoff's DIM framework: integration, misintegration, and disintegration. See how this Objectivist approach interprets the ways thinkers connect ideas. WHERE YOUR WRITING LIVES There is no account and no sign-in. Every answer is saved on your phone, and Profile exports the whole journal as a JSON file you keep. One feature is the exception, and it is off until you turn it on: the mentor sends the day you ask about to an AI service to write its reply. Nothing is stored on our side. Device backups follow your phone settings; cross-device journal sync is not included. No streak guilt, no notifications you did not ask for, no feed. FREE AND PAID Free: the morning check-in, the weekly, monthly and annual reviews, all 86 concepts, three collections, values, goals and actions, the Life horizon and 1% tracker, the quote of the day and the export. A subscription opens the midday and evening check-ins every day, all 12 collections, all 19 comparison sessions, the mentor, your own questions, home-screen widgets for quick check-ins and your days left, and the journal past 30 days. $39.99 a year with seven days free, $6.99 a month, or $99.99 once. One tier, so there is nothing to compare.

What's new

New home-screen widgets for quick check-ins and days left. Add goals and daily actions to your values, and plan ahead with Life horizon. This update also improves the paywall, reminders, journal backup and restore, and check-in navigation.
