A ptose palpebral é um dos temas mais fascinantes em cirurgia oculoplástica. Mesmo com toda pesquisa e incontáveis publicações sobre o assunto, ainda existem controvérsias e dúvidas. Paralelamente surgem novas técnicas que aumentam o desafio tanto para os cirurgiões experientes quanto para os que iniciam sua prática profissional. O segundo livro da série “Manual de Condutas da SBCPO”, que teve sua concepção e início com o ex-presidente Dr Roberto Limongi, traz ao leitor a experiência dos membros dessa Sociedade no tema Ptose Palpebral. Sob a coordenação do Dr Roberto, diversos aspectos clínicos e cirúrgicos sobre a Ptose foram apresentados em reunião fechada durante o 63º Congresso Brasileiro de Oftalmologia, e condutas foram votadas entre os participantes, membros ativos da SBCPO. O conteúdo desse livro, enriquecido com imagens e vídeos de alta qualidade técnica e científica, seguramente fornecerá apoio e orientação aos colegas que se dedicam ao tratamento da ptose palpebral.
