Full description
Color blind? Point your camera at anything and ColorSeeker tells you what color it is — in words, not swatches. 👁️ COLORSEEKER — Color Blind Aid & Color Identifier 👁️ MADE FOR COLOR BLIND EYES You already know the problem: the swatch doesn't help. ColorSeeker doesn't ask you to judge a shade — it just tells you. Point the camera and read the answer in plain text: "Crimson", #DC143C, RGB 220/20/60. Red-green color blindness makes maroon, crimson and brown a coin flip. Sorting laundry, picking ripe fruit, reading a resistor, telling a Cat6 jacket from a fiber one — the app reports a name and a number every time. No guessing, and no asking anyone. Colour blind? Same app — we just spell it the other way. 🎯 SHOW ME WHAT I CAN'T SEE Red berries in a green tree. A red wire in a bundle. A pink flag in tall grass. Tap to lock a color and ColorSeeker traces every match in frame and counts them — the things your eyes blend into the background, outlined and pulled out. • Tap-to-lock — pin a shade and track only that one, ignoring everything else • Matches traced along the object's real edge, so you see its shape — not a rectangle sitting over it • Prefer a plain box, or matches filled in solid? Both are one tap away • 8 one-tap presets: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black • Adjustable sensitivity to widen or tighten the match • Also handy for sorting mixed parts, inventory, or counting anything on a bench 🔍 WHAT IT DOES • Live color naming — point and read the name, Hex and RGB • 58 real color names: Crimson, Mustard, Chartreuse, Teal, Plum • Eyedropper for precise single-point sampling • Flashlight for dim rooms, closets and deep shelves • Screenshot and share what you found, reading attached • 0.6x wide, 1x, and 3x zoom — read small parts from across the bench 🔬 WHY IT WORKS WHEN OTHER APPS DON'T Most color apps compare raw RGB, so a shadow reads as a different color and you get "Brown" for a mustard shirt in a dim room. ColorSeeker converts what it sees into CIE L*a*b* — the color space built to match human vision — and when it names a color it deliberately discounts brightness, weighting the true color axes instead. Dim light, harsh light, shadow: same answer. Locking a color is a separate engine, working in HSV, and the match gets cleaned up before anything is drawn on screen: stray pixels are opened away, gaps inside an object are closed, the traced edge is straightened, and the result is averaged across frames. That's why an outline sits still on what you're looking at instead of crawling while you move the camera. 🔧 TRADE COLORS INCLUDED Fiber Aqua, Cat6 Blue, Safety Orange and Earth Green sit in the palette next to the designer colors — because telling one cable jacket from another in a dim closet shouldn't take a second opinion. 💾 FREE VS PAID Every feature is free. All of it. The app is supported by a small banner ad, and a one-time purchase removes it. That's the only purchase in the app. No subscriptions. No account. Nothing locked behind a paywall. 🆘 SUPPORT Email: [email protected] Website: https://prodirt-llc.github.io/colorseeker/ Made in Virginia, USA.
