Vegas UA is a vocabulary learning app whose spaced repetition system draws input from both study mode swipes and quiz mode answers, creating a unified knowledge model that reflects your total performance across all the ways you interact with each card. When you swipe right in study mode, the card's knowledge level rises. When you answer correctly in quiz mode, the same card's level also rises. Both correct-answer signals contribute to the same 0–5 scale, reinforcing the card's mastered status from multiple angles. Similarly, a wrong answer in quiz mode counts as negative evidence even for cards that have been progressing well in study mode, a valuable check that prevents cards from reaching level 5 based solely on passive review recognition rather than genuine active recall. This unified tracking means Vegas UA builds its knowledge model from the richest possible data set: how you perform when you self-assess with a flip, and how you perform under the additional pressure of a four-choice format. Both matter, and both count. The result is a spaced repetition system that's harder to fool than self-assessment-only systems, one that demands consistent performance across both passive and active recall before promoting a card to higher knowledge levels.
