Full description
Learn JavaScript for Kids is a gentle first step into real programming. Children start by changing a real JavaScript program and watching it come alive, then keep going with short lessons, block puzzles and small missions. It is made for young beginners who have never written a line of code, and for parents who want screen time that builds something. MAKE THINGS MOVE WITH REAL JAVASCRIPT The opening screen is a real JavaScript program. Your child taps the glowing values to change how many stickers there are, how fast they fly and which sticker is used, and the program runs again right on the phone. No typing, no errors, nothing can break. It is the quickest way to see what code does: change one number and see what happens straight away. SHORT JAVASCRIPT LESSONS FOR KIDS • 20 short courses and 80 lessons, from the idea of what code is to small games • Friendly topics: algorithms, variables, math, words, yes-or-no decisions, loops and patterns, objects, lists, functions, random surprises • Mini projects: a calculator, a number guessing game and rock, paper, scissors • Each lesson is short, so a child can finish one in a few minutes and come back tomorrow • The first course, What Is Coding?, is free BLOCK CODING PUZZLES The Block Playground turns logic into a game. Kids drag blocks such as Move, Jump, Repeat and If Blocked to guide a character to the goal, and try to solve each puzzle with as few blocks as they can. • 41 block puzzles that grow step by step • Sequences, repeat loops, directions and bug hunting • Several puzzles are free to play • A calm way to learn how a program thinks before typing real code MISSIONS AND PRACTICE • 60 missions in easy, medium and hard, so there is always a next challenge at the right level • A code editor to write and run JavaScript • Save favourite programs in My Codes and keep notes while learning • Examples, a cheat sheet, mini quizzes and flashcards to review what they learned • A daily streak that makes a little practice every day feel like a game LEARN AT THEIR OWN PACE JavaScript is the language that makes things on a screen move, react and play sounds. This app keeps it simple: one small idea at a time, with lots of practice and small wins. Kids who like logic puzzles, games and drawing on the screen will feel at home, and beginners of any background can follow along. MADE FOR FAMILIES • A parental gate sits in front of purchases and links that leave the app • The app interface is available in 22 languages • No account needed to begin • Lessons use simple words and short steps, written for children rather than for developers FREE TO START, PRO TO GO FURTHER The opening course, several block puzzles and two missions are free. A Pro subscription, set up by a parent behind the parental gate, unlocks every course, all 41 puzzles, all 60 missions, and the final exam with a certificate of completion. HOW TO GET STARTED 1. Open the app and play with a real JavaScript program 2. Start the free course What Is Coding? 3. Try the free puzzles in the Block Playground 4. Pick a mission when you want a new challenge WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN • How to break a problem into clear steps (algorithms) • How variables store numbers and words • How loops repeat actions and draw patterns • How if and else make decisions • How functions and lists keep code tidy • How to find and fix a bug Learn JavaScript for Kids brings coding for kids, coding games and block coding together in one app, so early steps in programming feel like play.
