Full description
Color Factory is a mixing plant in your pocket. Two pigments go into every batch, one dial decides the dose, and the vat gives you exactly the colour the mix deserves. MIXING THAT BEHAVES LIKE PAINT Colours here are not blended the way a screen blends light. Every pigment is stored as a load of red, yellow and blue colourant, the way a paint shop stores it, and the dial mixes those loads. That is why blue and yellow give you green instead of grey, why red and yellow run through every orange on the way past, and why a single drop of Carbon Black pulls a whole batch down. Each pigment also has its own staining strength, so a strong colourant takes over a mix long before it reaches half the dial. FILL THE ORDER BOOK Twenty-four clients are waiting, from a bakery that wants a shop front pink to a foundry that wants slate cladding. Each order sheet carries a target colour and a tolerance. Dose the vat, read the difference and ship when the batch is on spec. Batches are graded the way the colour trade grades them: with the CIE Lab colour difference. Under dE 2.3 no eye can separate your batch from the target, and the app tells you exactly what is wrong while you work - too light, too dark, too red, too blue - so a near miss is a puzzle, not a guess. Three stars means a match nobody could pick apart. Later contracts tighten the tolerance from 7.5 down to 4.0. FOURTEEN PIGMENTS Titanium White, Crimson, Lemon, Ultramarine, Carbon Black, Vermilion, Amber Oxide, Emerald, Teal Slate, Royal Violet, Magenta Ink, Olive Earth, Burnt Umber and Ash Grey. New pigments open as the plant levels up, and every new one multiplies what the vat can reach. A LIBRARY THAT FILLS ITSELF Free mixing has no target at all. Pick any two pigments, run the dial, pour. Every colour the plant has never produced before is stored in the shade library with its hex code, its RGB values and the exact recipe that made it, so a colour you stumble onto at two in the morning can be mixed again on purpose. IN THE APP - Mixing hall with a live vat, feed pipes and a dose bar you can drag or nudge one percent at a time - Order book of 24 contracts across four tiers, each with stars and your closest match - Pigment rack with strength and family for every colourant - Shade library sorted by hue, with hex, RGB and recipe for every shade - Records: batches poured, shades discovered, orders filled, stars collected, best matches - Ten badges from your first batch to a hundred and fifty - Animated background you can switch off, haptics, hex readouts - Fully offline, no account needed Whether you are chasing a three-star match on a tight contract or just finding out what Royal Violet does to Amber Oxide, the vat answers honestly every time.
