Full description
Make the file fit while keeping the video yours. Clipmino creates smaller video copies on your Android device. Choose a video, enter a maximum size from 2 to 500 MB, and let Clipmino plan, encode, and check the result. Clipmino never changes your source. Need only part of it? Trim it first, and the whole size goes to that part. FIT A REAL FILE LIMIT Clipmino measures the completed output. It only reports a compressed export as successful after the copy fits your chosen byte limit and passes checks for decoding, duration, orientation, and audio behavior. If a usable result cannot meet the target after bounded attempts, the app says so clearly. LOCAL MEDIA PROCESSING Video, frames, and audio are not uploaded. Clipmino uses Android's system picker to access only the videos you choose and processes them on the device. Google Play and RevenueCat connect to the internet only for the optional Pro purchase and restoration. KEEP THE ORIGINAL Clipmino never modifies the selected source, and never deletes it. A validated copy is saved separately in Movies/Clipmino. With the copy saved, Clipmino can offer to have Android remove the original (Android 11+, a video on this phone chosen in its photo picker, not a trimmed copy); Android asks you first. When the original carries a capture date, the copy carries it too, written into the video file itself: the copy sits beside the original in your gallery instead of at the top, and it keeps that date when you send the file to another device. CURRENT FORMAT LIMITS • Input containers: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and 3GP • Video: H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9, or AV1, where the device has a decoder for it. HDR sources are accepted and converted to standard range, which changes their colour • Audio: AAC, Vorbis, Opus, AMR, or no audio • Not supported: AVI, FLV, and WMV files • Source: 1 second to 20 minutes, up to 4K, 60 fps, and 2 GB • Target: 2 to 500 MB per video; MB means 1,000,000 bytes • Output: MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when audio is present, at the source's own resolution and frame rate when Clipmino can keep them, stepped down when it cannot Acceptance is also device-dependent: before accepting a video, Clipmino checks only that the device has a decoder for its video codec. It does not check the video's profile, level, resolution, frame rate or bit depth, so compression can still fail. These are the limits Clipmino accepts; what it can actually produce is decided on your device at the moment you compress. The size you choose weighs most, along with what your device's video encoder can sustain, and those are not the only things that decide it: a very high-bitrate source, or one that does not declare its frame rate, keeps less of its original resolution and frame rate than the size alone would suggest. Clipmino measures what it produced, and says plainly when your device cannot export a video with the settings requested, rather than reporting a success it has not verified. THREE EXPORTS INCLUDED Clipmino includes three successful compressed exports. Cancellation, failure, retry, and sharing an existing result do not consume another export. ONE-TIME PRO UNLOCK Pro is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. It unlocks unlimited local exports and sequential batches of up to 10 videos. Google Play shows the final localized price before purchase. Restore Pro from the home screen or Settings with the Google Play account used to buy it. Long media processing remains subject to Android's foreground-service and device limits.

What's new

Clipmino is more reliable: this update fixes rare cases where an export could get stuck or fail, a copy kept after running out of space could be lost, or the app could close. Video names now show correctly on every screen, sizes no longer split across two lines, and the privacy screen is clearer.
