Claim Hours helps you track your work-from-home hours so you can claim your tax deduction at the end of the year. If you work from home, even part of the time, you can claim 70 cents for every hour (for FY26). As the ATO doesn't accept estimates, you need a log kept as you go throughout the year. ATO RATES The fixed rate method lets you claim a set amount per hour worked from home. The rate is 67 cents per hour for FY2024 and FY2025, increasing to 70 cents per hour from FY2026 onwards. Claim Hours applies the correct rate automatically based on the financial year. To use this method, the ATO requires a record kept at or near the time you actually worked.
