ON-DEVICE TRANSLATION • Screen recognition and translation run on your device. • No account or sign-in is required. • After the required language packs are downloaded, translation works without Wi-Fi or mobile data. • Screen Translator Lens uses on-device machine learning—not an AI-free translation engine. Internet access is needed for language downloads. TRANSLATE WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR APP Read shopping labels, menus, travel information, messages and documents without repeatedly switching to a translation website. Move and resize the finder around the area you want to read. Minimize it to the edge and expand it when needed. TWO WAYS TO READ APP mode: Individual translation cards appear near detected text. Use it for buttons, menus and short labels. Bordered cards help keep nearby results organized. DOC mode: Detected text is presented in translated reading lines. Use it for longer passages and documents. Complex layouts and wrapped text can affect reading order or cause information to be missed. YOU CONTROL EACH CAPTURE • Position the clear finder over the text. • Tap once to capture and translate a snapshot. • Results stay still while you read; underlying touches are blocked. • Tap again to clear the translation and continue. Translation is manual, not a continuously changing live feed. Camera mode shows the camera inside the finder; tap to translate a snapshot of visible text. 10 TRANSLATION LANGUAGES English, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, German, French, Japanese and Korean. The embedded offline glossary helps with selected common interface and shopping terms. It cannot correct every recognition or translation error. WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE USING • Download the required language packs before relying on offline translation. • Accuracy varies by language pair, context, font, layout and image clarity. Small, stylized, vertical or mixed-language text may be missed or mistranslated. • APP and DOC results may omit words or details. DOC cards can cover original information that is not included in the translation. Release the result to check the original. • Android requires overlay and screen-capture permission. Camera permission is needed for camera mode. Android may request capture permission again after a session ends, including after locking the phone. • Some apps and protected screens block capture and cannot be translated. • Always verify important details, especially prices, amounts, times, medical information and payment instructions. This app is not a substitute for a qualified interpreter. • On-device processing does not mean the app never connects to the internet.
