SmartFlight FlyShare is the app for private pilots and for everyone who likes to come along. It pulls together what is otherwise spread across five WhatsApp groups, a photo of the fuel receipt and a spreadsheet: planning the flight, finding passengers, splitting the cost fairly. PLAN A FLIGHT Enter route, aircraft, date and duration once. On the phone a five-step assistant walks you through it. Airfield fees are stored per aerodrome and aircraft, so next time they are already there. Duplicate a flight for the return leg or your standard sightseeing round instead of retyping it. REACH YOUR PASSENGERS Share your follow link, and anyone who wants to fly with you becomes a follower. Release a flight and it appears in your followers' feed, where they ask for a seat. If the flight is full they join the waitlist – moving someone up is always the pilot's decision. You can also share a link that shows route, date, free seats and the estimated share, but no passenger data. SPLIT THE COST From flight minutes, cost per minute, fuel and fees the app works out each passenger's share. A slider sets how much of it you carry as the pilot. The cost sheet goes out as a PDF carrying a SEPA QR code for the transfer. Afterwards you tick off who has already paid. Important: no money moves through SmartFlight FlyShare. The app calculates and documents, nothing more. The PDF is not an invoice; it is a split of direct costs between private individuals within non-commercial aviation. WEIGHTS FOR MASS & BALANCE Every passenger enters their own body weight. It is visible only to the pilot of the flight they are on – other passengers never see it. LOGBOOK AND YOUR FLYING YEAR Completed flights feed the logbook. The yearly summary shows how much you flew and where you went. IF YOUR CLUB USES SMARTFLIGHT The app is fully usable without a club. If your club connects you by invitation link, you also get: • A booking chart across the club fleet, with night shading and an ECET line • Reserving with a preview of whether it becomes a confirmation or a waitlist place • A fuel log with estimated tank contents • A journey log as a filling aid – it does not replace paper • Pilot reports for defects • Mass & balance with your club's arms and limits • Your member account with balance and invoices That data belongs to the club, not to FlyShare – the app displays it. You can disconnect at any time, and the club can revoke access at any time. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO • It does not access your location. • It asks for no access to camera, microphone or contacts. • It does not check whether your cost split complies with the rules. That stays your responsibility as pilot in command. • It replaces neither flight preparation, nor navigation, nor an official journey log. • Almost nothing works without an internet connection.
