ChoreLedger

ChoreLedger is a favor ledger for a household or shared living group — roommates, family, anyone splitting the invisible work of running a home. It is not a money-splitting app: there are no payments, no currency, and no bills. Instead, every logged favor (Dishes, Grocery Run, Dog Walk, Ride, Repair, Cooking, Laundry, or Other) is worth one fungible unit, and ChoreLedger keeps a running net balance between every pair of people in the household — who currently owes whom, and how many favors. The signature feature is settlement chain detection. In any household with more than two people, debts naturally form chains: if Alex owes Sam a favor, and Sam owes Jordan a favor, the app spots that Alex could settle directly with Jordan instead, cutting Sam out of the middle. ChoreLedger surfaces every chain it finds as a one-tap suggestion, and the ChainMerge widget animates the resolution live — two arrows and a middle avatar collapsing into a single direct arrow between the two ends — so the household ends up with fewer, simpler open favors instead of a tangle of small ones. Beyond the core ledger, a History log shows every favor and every applied settlement in order, filterable by person, so nothing gets lost or double-counted. A Stats screen breaks down activity by week, by favor type, and by day, plus callouts for the biggest open balance and how many chains have been simplified so far. Everything — people, favor logs, settlement history — is stored locally on the device. No account, no internet connection required, no ads.
