Cholo Sathi

Cholo Sathi is a local marketplace that helps you discover independent driver-partners going your way in West Bengal. Browse what drivers have posted, see who's driving where today, and contact them directly on WhatsApp or call. No middlemen, no surge pricing, no auto-assignment — you choose, you contact, you decide. ═══ HOW IT WORKS ═══ 1. Open the app and pick what you need — a ride or cargo transport 2. Enter your from and to locations and the date 3. Browse listings posted by drivers going that way 4. Tap a driver to see their public profile, vehicle and Verified badge 5. Contact them on WhatsApp or by phone, agree the fare, you're set ═══ FEATURES ═══ ▸ BROWSE LOCAL ROUTES Search drivers offering rides between cities, towns and villages across West Bengal. Filter by date and corridor. ▸ FLEXIBLE POOLS Some drivers post pool listings with a flexible pickup window instead of a fixed time. Pick a pool that suits your schedule. ▸ TRANSPARENT DRIVER PROFILES Each listing links to the driver's public profile — name, vehicle photos, registration number, and a "Verified" badge if their identity documents are on file with us. ▸ POST YOUR OWN REQUEST Can't find a matching route? Post a trip or cargo request and wait — matching driver-partners see your post in their inbox and reach out to you. Posts stay live for 24 hours. ▸ CARGO AND GOODS TRANSPORT Need to send a load? Choose a goods category (general, fragile, perishable, livestock, oversized, construction), add weight and volume, and post — local goods carriers will contact you. ▸ MY CONTACTS — KEEP YOUR REGULAR DRIVERS Every time you tap WhatsApp or call on a driver, they're saved to your contacts list. Reach the same driver again for your next trip with one tap. ▸ MY POSTS See every trip and cargo request you've posted. Close a post any time before it expires. ▸ BENGALI, HINDI AND ENGLISH Full app experience in বাংলা, हिन्दी and English. Switch anytime from your profile. ▸ SAFE BY DEFAULT The Verified badge tells you a driver has uploaded their identity documents and vehicle papers, and our admin team has reviewed them. You still always meet a stranger using your own judgment — but you start with a base level of trust. ═══ WHY PEOPLE LIKE CHOLO SATHI ═══ • You decide who to contact — no algorithmic matching, no random assignments • Talk directly to the driver on WhatsApp or by phone before you commit • Agree the fare with the driver — Cholo Sathi never sets prices or adds a service fee • Discover local drivers who actually live in or drive through your area • Find both passenger transport and goods transport in one place • Build a list of regular drivers you trust ═══ IMPORTANT — WE ARE A MARKETPLACE ═══ Cholo Sathi is a digital marketplace that helps people discover independent driver-partners. We do not employ drivers, operate vehicles, dispatch rides, set fares, manage journeys, track trips or handle payments. Each driver is an independent businessperson. All arrangements, pricing and payment are negotiated and settled directly between the customer and the driver. Always meet drivers safely and verify the vehicle and driver in person before travelling or handing over goods. ═══ PERMISSIONS ═══ • Location — to suggest nearby pickup and drop locations and verify your area is served (used only when you tap a place picker, not in the background) • Phone — to receive your verification OTP • Photos — to add a profile picture (optional) • Notifications — to alert you when a driver responds to your posted request ═══ SUPPORT ═══ Questions or feedback? Email [email protected] or visit cholosathi.com. We're a small team and we reply within 48 hours. Welcome to Cholo Sathi — your travel companion in West Bengal.
