Full description
Time stops the moment you touch the screen. Blade Line is a first-person game built on one gesture. Hold, and time freezes. While it is frozen, trace a line across the horde in front of you — a blade is laid down at every step of that line. Let go, and the whole volley leaves at once. HOLD · TRACE · RELEASE • Hold to stop time. Nothing can reach you while you are thinking. • Trace across the enemies. One blade for every step of the line. • Release, and every blade lands together. READ THE SHAPE This is closer to a puzzle than a reflex test. A stack of enemies wants a vertical stroke. A rank wants a wide sweep. A ring wants a circle. Finding the single line that takes the most of them is the whole skill — and the slow motion gives you the time to find it. NINETEEN AGES Fight from the first sharpened stone to the last star going out: Palaeolithic hunts, the standing stones, the tomb halls of the Kingdom of Sand, iron and mist, the Rotting Age, powder and steam, chrome and voltage, and the far future. Armour comes from size, so a mammoth, a mummy and a chrome war machine are three genuinely different problems. FIVE BLADES, EACH ONE A TRADE The chain blade links its hits. The echo blade throws twice. None of them is simply stronger than the last — you are choosing a style, not buying power. Every one is earned with shards from playing. SOUND ON There is no music in this game, on purpose. Every sound is a physical event. Each blade tick is panned to where your finger is, the mix goes muffled the instant time stops, and a volley closes on its own note. On headphones it is as much an ASMR game as an action one. FREE, AND NO IN-APP PURCHASES Blade Line is free to play with no in-app purchases at all. It is supported by ads, and every rewarded video is optional — take one to power up a hard stage, or watch none and earn everything by playing. One finger. Portrait. Hundreds of stages. Pick it up for one, or for twenty.

What's new

• Power-ups are now offered only before hard stages, with clearer names
