SchoolOps

SchoolOps puts your school day in your pocket: your timetable, your relief duties, your leave and the school's rooms, kept up to date as plans change. The app is for staff of schools that use SchoolOps by ChalkChest. Your school's administrator makes your account, and you sign in with the address and password your school gives you. There is no sign up in the app. For teachers • My timetable by day or by week, with the venue of every lesson • Relief duties sit on your timetable, with the handover from the absent teacher: lesson objectives, instructions and any attached file • Acknowledge a relief lesson, so the absent teacher and the relief coordinator know it is covered • Going on leave? Write the handover for your lessons and attach a worksheet • Submit an absence for a full day or for chosen periods, and see when it is approved • See which rooms are free in a period and book one • Choose your preferred teaching periods, where your school asks for them • Alerts when a timetable is published, your leave is decided, a relief duty is assigned or cancelled, a venue changes or a handover is shared For relief coordinators and administrators • Approve or reject leave. Approved leave puts the affected lessons into Relief straight away • Generate relief options for a day, see suitable teachers ranked by your school's own rules, and approve one • Change a lesson's venue or block a room • Open the school's timetable by class, teacher or room, or see the whole school one day at a time For timetable planners • Open each timetable version and move a lesson in a draft, with clashes checked for you • Publish a version, and every member of staff is told Private by design • The app stays signed in and asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock when you come back after five minutes away • Notifications never show names or leave reasons • No advertising, no tracking and no analytics • Schools hosted by ChalkChest keep their data on servers in Singapore Setting up the school, generating timetables and managing staff accounts are done on the SchoolOps website.
