Full description
Most expense apps are good at telling you what you already spent. Cashwick tells you what you still have. Set one monthly budget. From then on the first thing you see is the number that actually decides whether you buy the thing in your hand: what is left this month, and how much of that you get per day for the days that remain. WHAT IT DOES • Left to spend, up front The home screen leads with the remainder, not the total. Underneath it, a bar shows how much of the budget is gone and a marker shows where a steady spender would be today — so "am I ahead or behind" is one glance, not arithmetic. • A daily allowance that adjusts itself Overspend on Tuesday and the per-day figure quietly drops for the rest of the month. Hold back and it rises. No streaks, no scolding. • Log an entry in seconds Amount, category, done. The date defaults to today, with one tap for yesterday and a picker for anything older. A note is optional. • A line, not a wall of numbers The insights tab draws this month's spending as a running line against the straight line your budget implies. Where the two diverge is the whole story. Below it, the last six months side by side. • Categories that are yours Eight to start with — groceries, eating out, transport, home and bills, health, shopping, fun, other. Rename them, recolour them, change the icons, add your own, delete the ones you never use. • Any currency Twenty currencies, picked in settings. Amounts are stored in whole minor units, so nothing drifts by a cent, and currencies without decimals (yen, dong) are handled properly rather than shown with a stray ".00". • Income too Log what comes in and the home screen shows earned, spent and the net for the month. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • It has no internet permission. Not "we promise not to send anything" — the permission is absent from the app, so Android itself will not let the app open a network connection, whatever the code asks for. Cashwick requests no platform permission of any kind: no storage, no location, no contacts, nothing. • No account. No sign-in. No email address. Open it and start typing. • No ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party code of any kind. • No subscription, no paid tier, no locked features. • No backup and no transfer. Cashwick opts out of Google Drive backup and of phone-to-phone transfer alike. ABOUT YOUR DATA Your entries live in this app's private storage on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, because nothing can be sent anywhere. Read the last bullet above twice before you install, because it cuts both ways: there is exactly one copy of your figures, and it is on this phone. Set up a new handset and Cashwick starts empty. Clear the app's storage or uninstall it and the record is gone for good — not recoverable by you, and not by us, because we never had it. That is the trade. If you want your budget history to survive a change of phone, this is not the app for you. If you want a number that no server, no account and no backup ever sees, it is. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone who has a rough monthly number in mind and wants to know, on the 19th, whether they are still inside it. Rent, groceries, transport, the small things that add up. No spreadsheets, no bank connection, no lectures.
