Download Sovereign today. Privacy & Blocking Technology Sovereign offers two optional methods for blocking websites: a local VPN method and an Accessibility Service method. Accessibility Service: Sovereign is not an accessibility tool. If you choose the Accessibility method for website blocking, Sovereign uses Android’s Accessibility Service to read the current web address displayed in the address bar of supported browsers. The address is processed only on your device to compare it with the website-blocking rules you created and to show the block screen when there is a match. Sovereign does not store this address or transmit it off your device. Accessibility access is optional: you can decline it, use the local VPN method instead, and disable the service at any time in Android Settings. Local VPN: Sovereign’s VPN method creates a local VPN interface that filters domain requests to enforce your website-blocking rules. Your browsing traffic is not routed through or stored on Sovereign servers.
